Was glad to see several members of the writers' group at the Nancy Pearl chat at the PD on Aug. 20. Wasn't she terrific. I've decided that my doorway into books is language/prose/writing.
Oh, and reading one of her suggestions, Lori Lansen's "The Girls" right now. It's about conjoined twins growing up in rural Ontario, which I thought would be weird. It is. But good, too.

I'm such a character person. That and setting -- I'm a sucker for anything in Charleston or Cape Cod, or any East Coast beach really.
